Our story
Copper Ridge Support Services, LLC was founded in August 2025 by Cathy and Charlie Linkenhoker with a shared commitment and goal to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence and quality of life.
Cathy brings over 10 years of experience in the field of disability support and intellectual developmental disabilities.
Charles brings more than 15 years of service with the Federal Department of Corrections, where he contributed to rehabilitation and reintegration programs and served on crisis support teams. He has a BA degree from Liberty University in counseling and crisis support, and carries a strong background in structured support and program development.
Together, Cathy and Charlie established Copper Ridge Support Services to be part of the larger mission of shaping and strengthening the community of services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. They are excited for this journey, committed to building meaningful connections, and passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of those they serve.
Our Team
Copper Ridge Support Services is supported by a dedicated team committed to promoting independence, personal growth, and meaningful life experiences for every individual served. Team members are fully trained in CPR, First Aid, Medication Aide, and all additional training requirements established by DBHDS, HCBS standards, Human Rights regulations, and other applicable governing agencies. Beyond meeting training and compliance expectations, staff approach their roles with compassion, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to the well-being and success of the individuals and families supported.
Contracted Provider Disclosure
Copper Ridge Support Services, LLC is an independent business and provider operating under the guidelines of the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS). At this time, our licensure is held under Sunny Haven Residential Services. While Copper Ridge Support Services maintains its own internal policies and procedures, we are also required to follow the guidelines, standards, and policies of Sunny Haven Residential Services to ensure full regulatory compliance. For this reason, the terms of SHRS and CRSS often intersect and are applied jointly.
